C. Baldwin Hotel

C. Baldwin Hotel of Houston, TX, is named for Charlotte Baldwin Allen — the badass broad who bankrolled and built the whole damn city, but was barred from signing the deed because of her gender.

Together with Sockeye, we elevated Charlotte’s voice and story in the hotel’s brand identity — from merch to murals to the devil-may-care collateral copy that greets guests on their keycards.

Her name may not be on the deed, but now it’s on the door. Welcome to the C. Baldwin Hotel.
