Mercy Corps

Mercy Corps is a global team of humanitarians working together on the front lines of today's biggest crises. Together with social impact strategist Shannon O’Malley, we’ve partnered with Mercy Corps to put their work into words – focused on translating their complex and innovative programming into concise, compelling stories.

Communicating Mercy Corps’ approach to climate adaptation, from talking points for an OMSI Science Pub event with NASA to grant storytelling for Agrifin – a program supporting small scale farmers on the front lines of the climate crisis.

Climate Resilience

We developed a comprehensive messaging toolkit in partnership with Mercy Corps and Village Enterprise to create a central source of truth for messaging around their DREAMS for Refugees program. The toolkit serves as a plug-and-play document to support donor communications, and represents years of work with Mercy Corps across their innovative programming, including multiple big bet grant proposals.

Refugee Self-Reliance

We developed messaging tools for the Community Investment Trust, a real-estate investing model helping close the racial wealth gap by harnessing the systems that created it. Deliverables included a messaging hierarchy (one-pager and deep-dive), video narrative development, on-set interviewing, and grant writing.

Racial Equity

We worked with Energy 4 Impact, Mercy Corps’ energy innovation platform, to create a messaging toolkit and web copy that clarified the complexity of their programming.
